Artists of the Galilee
art that speaks to the heartWhat kind of people choose to live in the northern periphery of Israel? We revel in the slower pace of life, living close to nature, nurturing our spirituality and allowing our creativity to flourish away from the hustle and bustle of the center of the country.
Because Tzfat and Rosh Pina are popular tourist destinations, artists here were able to make a satisfactory living selling our art, as long as tourists continue to visit.
And then, October 7.
Most artists were simply unable to create in the days following the attack. We felt numb; beautiful art seemed superficial! Then, as the numbness wears off, we are left with a burning desire to spread our vision of beauty and humanity and soul to the world, to light up the darkness! We begin again to create, but for whom? The once bustling artist quarters of Tzfat and Rosh Pina are quiet, the galleries and shops are closed, no one walks the streets.
This is where Tzahar-Palm Beach Partnership and the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County stepped in, creating this platform as a beacon of hope and resilience. Through a comprehensive artist mentorship program and the unwavering support of our partners, this marketplace emerged as a lifeline for our creative community. It represents not just an e-commerce platform, but a testament to the Federation’s commitment to supporting the Tzahar region’s local businesses and artists during these challenging times.
From Israel we invite you to join us in our mission: spreading light and beauty around the globe. Bring our art into your home, your workspace, share it with friends and family. Let’s show the world that a heart of loving kindness and love of beauty beats in Israel, that creativity and humanity prevail.
For over 30 years, the Tzahar – Palm Beach Partnership has been dedicated to fostering connections between the residents of Tzfat, Hatzor HaGlilit, and Rosh Pina in northern Israel and the Jewish community in Palm Beach, Florida.
The Partnership’s impactful work is evident in the creation and reinforcement of the bond between these communities. This is achieved through a diverse range of programs, strategic investments in the Tzfat-Hatzor-Rosh Pina region, and the enhancement of the quality of human capital in the area. Key focus areas include education, community development, and cultivating young leadership

“Song of the Roots” (This violin is part of a painted violin project called: “Violin of Melody and History.”)
The painted violin presents two sides full of emotion. On one side, an elderly man sits in an ancient alley, surrounded by an atmosphere of calm and tranquility, immersed in a world of books and thought. The old stone bench, surrounded by lush greenery, conveys a sense of isolation from the outside world, as if time has stopped, inviting the viewer to dive into an inner world of reflection and peace. On the other side, a righteous man adorned in a cloak sits in a thoughtful posture, his gaze penetrating the space as if searching for profound answers. The ancient tree with its thick roots emanates strength and rootedness, as if directly connected to the earth and the universe. Every detail in the painting carries a deep spiritual connection, like an inner dialogue with nature and time.
